In partnership with representatives from 20 healthcare organizations, MeHI developed a set of planning resources for organizations that seek to participate in Health Information Exchange (HIE). These resources outline the technical and clinical workflow decisions required to successfully implement HIE. They are designed to facilitate the HIE implementation process in a diverse variety of care settings, offering universal best practices while also allowing for customization of the approach.
The set of resources produced through this Learning Collaborative includes:
- a comprehensive HIE Use Case Planning Form; and
- an HIE Technology and Workflow Project Plan.
